It's a '93 Mustang 5.0 motor in a '54 Ford Customline. Originally a 65a 2G, now a PA Performance 130a 3G alt. I'm running a 4ga cable w/150a fuse from the alt output post to the batt+ side of the fender mounted solenoid.
My question concerns the 3-wire regulator plug. Specifically the YEL/WHT wire and the GRN/RED wire.
1) Is the YEL/WHT wire the excite wire? Where exactly does it go?
2) In the Mustang the GRN/RED wire went to either the idiot light or the charge gauge in the dash. I'll be running neither in the '54 so where does it go to?

Thanks for that. Great article! I wired it up today. I did a conversion awhile back and remembered I wired in a resistor in the GRN/RD wire. Mark Sanchez says that's not necessary with Fords, only GM.
Curious, did you forego the resistor in your build?
