Has anyone had experience with the rear glass defogger kits, and are they any good?

The link I surfed accross a while back showed a kit with the strips of wire that go across the back glass and then had ends to connect them.

With the back glass out they'd be easy to install, but if they're no good, then its a waste

I have heard bad things about the aftermarket kits, after awhile they dry up and crack, and the element wires break...

If you want quality, and the window is already out, Contact a Glass Shop and order a Glass replacement with the element INSIDE the stock glass..probably cheaper too.

Older post I know..

I did one of these from JCwhitney on my 76 Ford Torino. I applied it back in '99. 2007, it's still up, and works fine.

Long story short, make sure the glass is SUPER CLEAN. I actually added my kit when the rear glass was out of the car.
