does anyone know how i could remove the chrome around my rear windows on my 82 grand prix? when i first got the car it was just gona be a quik body work job and drive as is, but it turned into a big project. my DA sander marked up the chrome pretty bad, i want to replace it with a new peice from the wreckers or paint it black like some of the monte carlos.

My guess (and it's just a guess) that there are small square plastic clips that slide over a headed rivet / stud. Try taking a putty knife and slowly pry at the outer edge of the moulding. It should pop off if that is the way it is fastened on. I know GM uses that type of clip quite a bit.
