My husband recently bought me a 1964.5 mustang. Its red inside and out. I would love to repaint it black cherry but the inside is red. Wondering if the red interior will go with the black cherry paint color.

Current color? Back in HS, a bud had a '62 Impala convertible, black over red. From someone not really liking red interiors, that was a stunning combination. I'm thinking it'll look good.

I say yes (y)....Black cherry contains some red as part of the formula......so it is complementary on the color wheel.

Jet Black with red interiors was a popular early 1960's combination....Black cherry is dark enough to be not all that different.

Be ready for sticker shock when you price out the Black cherry paint though.....lol

Agreed as well. However, remember this is your car. Build it how you want.
If the interior is in good-great shape, all the better since as ericnova72 pointed out, that paint color is probably a tri-stage process, time consuming and expensive proposition. Looks great when completed.
