What started out as a simple scuff and shoot last fall has turned into a full strip to metal project for me. I am working on some fiberglass right now that I was hoping to just sand off the clear coat. Unfortunately I sanded through in one area and luckily I found out a far worse problem. Having a hard time getting a good edge and noticed that the topcoats were somewhat lifting. Grabbed a scraper knife and was ablt to take off chunks of paint several square inches in size. Underneath seemed like it never was prepped as it was still shiny glass. Some areas did stick so their is some sanding. I do have some cracks to fix and was going to be using West epoxy. My question is will it adhere if I use a Nason primer/surfacer first on the whole piece or should I do the epoxy work first.
Thanks for any advice
