My 1970 Cuda uses torsion bars from the cross member to the lower control arms then anchored to the K-frame. These bars are in the way for a hemi / header setup I wish to use.

Has anyone relocated these bars? I can imagine there is concerns going with a shorter torsion bar relocated more to the side of the car.

I have not found a good site that addresses this issue.

Any advise would be great..

We put hemis in 68 Cudas and have to cut and re-weld after-market headers to fit. I would suggest having someone fab up a set of headers, after you have the hemi in. Relocating the torsion bars is iffy.
