I had to remove some sidetrim held on by double sided tape. Now how do I remove the tape? Tried solvent and scapers what a mess! I can hardly budge the stuff.

You could try orange kleen or goo gone. Another posibility would be check your local auto body supply. Body shops use those types of products.

Goof-Off and a good stiff bristle brush, goof off can be found at any hardware store. Institutions use it to remove graffiti and it is potent stuff, use in a well ventilated area. A heat gun and a plastic or wood squeegee will get the majority off before you try the goof off.

Try some gasoline on a rag. Sometimes that'll cut the glue residue when nothing else will. Good luck!

I had tried a hair dryer, acetone and laquer thinner.

I always use the big eraser that attaches to a drill or die grinder , I think that is what HK is refering to when he says the 3M adhesive remover wheel , they work awesome and you can use them for pinstripes and decals and with absolutely no damage to the finish .
