Hi i went to the tranny shop today to do a normal service and he said i have a leak coming from the trans kickdown cable where it meets up with the trans. He said it was cracked?!?. He didnt have it in stock and it would have been until monday before he could get it. If i get one is it hard to install? I know there is an O ring in there and thats probley shot. How difficult is it to do. THanks

It's a no brainer.
Unhook the cable at the top of the engine.
Remove the bolt at the cable. Either 7/16 or 10mm.
Pull the cable up and unhook the link.
Trace you footsteps to install it.
It can have either an "O" ring or a top hat seal.

If you have the sealing sleeve style cable.....install the sleeve into the tranny case FIRST, then the cable with some lube on the cable.

Do NOT install the sealing sleeve onto the cable and try to push everything into the tranny case hole. You will damage the sealing sleeve
