I have stock centerbolt SBC valve covers and want to put roller rockers under them. I can't use taller covers because its in a boat and there is no room between the valve covers and exhaust risers.

How do I get full rollers to fit under there? Is it the rollers themselves, or the polylocks that are the problem?

Do you think 1/4" taller cover will clear it? I can run thicker carbon exhaust gaskets to throw the exhaust out another 1/16" which might give me enough room for 1/4" taller covers.

I have used the GM Performance 1.5 rollers rockers under a Centerbolt stock valve cover. The camshaft was less than .450 lift with 1.5 rockers.

We use all Crower stainless shaft rockers and there stainless rockers as I believe they will fit under the covers with no problems and check on the GM roller rockers used on the crate engines as they use stock covers.

Hope this helps
