Stay with stock ratios generally.

The ratio is the multiplication of the cam lobe lift to the actual valve lift.

1.5 = the valve opens 1.5 times as far as the cam lobe moves the lifter and pushrod. Like a teeter-totter with one end longer than the other. If the cam lobe moves .400" then the valve opens .600" = this called "lift".

Roller rockers can have a roller tip (only) touching the valve stem, OR also have the pivot fulcrum with rollers in there, called "full roller rockers". Generally stock rockers have neither.
