I got a 71 steering column off a gmc truck. The rubber steering wheel has a ton of goo on it. I have used gasoline, hydrogen peroxide, goo off, etc and nothing is taking this stuff off. Any ideas?

Let's move this to General Rodding Tech.

If the rubber is not porous, I would try a good penetrating oil like Kroil. Otherwise, just get a good steering wheel cover.
