I would like to know how to swap and reinforce a 4.3 vortec into my 02 s-10, from a stock 2.2 4-cylinder 5 speed.

That can be done with all factory parts as they came with the 4.3

I would sugest getting a parts truck if you can.............That way you will have all the parts you need..There are millions of them from the 90s, although a Vortex may be a bit harder to find.

You will need to swap the tranny too.................

Weren't all the 4.3's they put in S-10's vortecs?
