Has anyone mounted a Chevy S10 rear end in a 1933 to 1935 Chevy. I'm just starting my project ( a 1933 Chevy Cabriolet) and I'm considering using the stock leaf springs in the rear and mounting an S10 rear end. My plan for the rest of the drive train is a mild Chevy 350 with a 700R4 transmission. I'd like to know if the stock springs would work or if there are any kits out there to use the stock spring mounts.

The S10 rearend will work fine if the one you get is the correct width. They are available with positraction and disc brakes.
Have you given any thought to a 200 OD transmission? They are less bulky than the 700 and less trouble prone.
You're going to have a really nice and unusually rare car there.

Thanks for the reply Pasadenahotrod. I'm open to any automatic overdrive transmission. Less bulky is a good thing to make more room in the passenger compartment.
