Hi guys
I have just done my first flake job after much research & help from custom painters & members of this site, thanks all.
When told to sand the initial burying(UC35) clear with P500 DA or P800 wet flat I thought "no way?" well I have to say it works great.
The job I did was silver hologram large flake over Vauxhall silver base. I used HOK & it came out with no visible sanding scratches in between clear coats.
Infact, apart from P500 DA used on UC35 nothing of a less grit would touch it. If I had tried to wet sand it using P1200 like I thought prior to your advice I would be there from february til Christmas ha ha.
Thanks again all. Shared knowledge is the way forward!
