How do you fell about useing a jitterbug to sand with. It seams like a long long time ago like 30 years ago I was told that you should not use a jitterbug to sand your car with but I can not remimber why you should not use it,so what is your thoughts about this.

The biggest issue with a jitterbug, for me, is that it is too short for a good straight panel. They also leave some sanding matks that aren't always easy to hide/cover.

I was thinking that sanding marks was what I was told but if you are going to primer over them I would think that you would be ok

you mean marks in the sheet metal? i ask this not knowing what a jitterbug is. we use angle grinders to remove paint then hand with a little finer grit...primer does the rest. but please fill me in on the jitterbug. thanks guys!

The thing about sanding at any stage is to not change the direction of the sand stroke in the same place twice and you'll stay ahead of trouble..
I've found the jitterbug to be useful when wetsanding clear of all things..

So there are no rules really.. :thumbup:
