With a small base circle cam, a stroker oil pan, clearanced pan rails and rods meant for stroker applications you could do it without too many headaches. :confused:

Rod ratio isn't great to begin with, but not horrible. Remember there is lots of thrust stress on a 400 with thin walls, shorter ratios and more power make it worse. I'd definitely use hard-block.

I'd look to see the piston compression height available with what rods.
