I have a small block chevy but no fuel pump. There is a "square" hole for the pump in the block for the pump but the pump is diamond shaped. I know that there has to be an adaper but where can I get one?

Local parts house or junkyard.Get the bolts with it.Make sure you have the fuel pump pushrod also.

i believe the typical 350 fuel pump is diamond shaped!? the hole shouldnt matter thats just where the rod comes through. there has to be a plate between the block and pump though. the plate keeps the rod from falling out when you change fuel pump. i usually throw away those mechanical pumps and use electric fuel pumps anyway. i have a plate and rod for the mechanical pump in my garage right now if you want it.
