Where are all these Datsuns coming from all of a sudden? We have a new one in my neighbourhood with a toyota supra turbo engine.Even it required a little scoop. Let me know if you find a solution, and have fun with this car.
The local Datsun here was a N.A. engine with a turbo installed later. I was surprised how fast it is.I think I would worry a little if he was beside me
I have a Sbc in a 72 celica. My old motor had a performer intake on it and the stock hood closed no problem. I just built a new motor for it with a RPM Air gap intake. I just order a 2.5" glass cowl as my hood won't close know.
I know its not a datsun but it is a small import. Thought It might help.
Scarab made a kit. Many people abandoned this project before completion.
I knew someone that did a 88-92 RX7. Not sure the year. It was boxey. Converted to a 350 SBC torquer 2 low rise intake , and a T5. It needed a hole in hood with a scoope.
i have seen them done.. look awsome and fast.. got a friend that did a opal GT with a 502 fuel inj'd engine.. i think the rear tires are bolted to the 3rd member, he's running 20" wide tires. of course its tubed..
