I just put a rebuilt 350 sbc in my el camino. Initial start up was painless, and ran great. Let the car sit for a couple of days and now there is no gas getting to the carb. So I replaced the fuel pump...still nothing. someone suggested that I have an airleak somewhere between my fuel pump and carb, and this is causing the gas to run all the way back to the tank, and I am just not giving it enough time to get the gas back to the carb. I disagree with this. Any suggestions. The carb is a mech Carter 600 if that info is needed. I am just getting into muscle cars, so any advice would help a lot. Thanks

Filter clogged, floats stuck at the top (tap on the bowls), water in the fuel.

Has it run at all since break-in? Are the plugs wet?

It hasn't run since break in, and the plugs are not wet. Thanks for the suggestions.
