What year, make, and model is the car or truck you are working on? Most early model chevys with the short water pump had year specific power steering brackets and alternator brackets that bolted to the water pump and first two holes of the exhaust manifold on drivers side. The heads didn't come with holes drilled for accessories. Advance Auto Parts carries the short water pump remanufactured by cardone.

have a 73 nova with the acessory bolt holt in the head. have a short altrnator and a cnc alternator support bracket that bolts to the waterpump. it is a very nice looking setup. would like to get a polished alumunum short water pump to use cnc bracketa(polished aluminum)and custom alternator(polished aluminum also). thank you

73 Chevy with alternator on the passenger side would use the long water pump....Trying to mix and match long and short parts is trouble getting things to line up
