I just found a Sears Die Hard battery that is only 4-1/2" wide. Perfect for my car that has the battery box near the driveshaft. However no one seems to know what a group B 2 battery came out of. I Googled ?

The 3EE series battery works well in a narrow but long area. It is commonly used on forklifts and other industrial equipment and is stocked by most battery suppliers, including Sears. I had one in my roadster for mnay years, and will again when I redo it!
Many older folks call 'em the old Buick/Pontiac battery although these are 12V rather than 6V as in the late 40s-early 50s Buicks and Pontiacs.
