I'm in the process of restoring a 64 oldsmobile jetstar 88. One problem I have is that upholstery is in rough shape on the back support of the front bench seat. It has been water damaged and it looks like it could come apart really easy. The seat portion of the front seat and the entire back seat are in very good condition. If it's possible, I'd like to have the damaged upholstery replaced with matching material. Do any of you know anywhere which might possibly reproduce or salvage upholstery with original prints and colours?
Or, is it possible to restore damaged material? Right now, it looks fine, but it is definately weakened. Is it possible to bond another fabric on the back side to strengthen the original?
What are my other options? Thanks for your help,
dh

Most large cities have established upholstery shops that have been in business long enuff to have the old body cloth books, there you will find color and texture samples, some of which are still available. BUT they ain't cheap! I have access to many complete covers, Buick, mostly 60-64, lots of greens, browns, turquoise, golds.

send a sample to you local trim shop and see if they could match it up or if all else contact me with a sample we have a large selection of olds bodycloths in our shop. there is also many ways to rob from the"rich" and give to the poor meaning to move things around inside the car?. <img src="graemlins/pimp.gif" border="0" alt="[pimp]" />
