This may sound like a silly question but, I am splitting the wishbones on my 28 model a and installing a 4 in dropped axel.The instalation instructions say to set it at 6 or 7 degrees.My question is this..with a magnetic angle finder set on top of the axel ,do I want it to lean back toward the rear of the car or forward toward the front of the car?

That is the kingpin angle..So you will need to measure that..I just place a kingpin in the axle boss and put my angle gauge on that..

The top of the king pin is toward the rear..

You also mentioned camber, that on your model A can't be adjusted without bending the axle. Camber is the tilting of the wheel in or out at the top.
