Had shop replace timing chain on 67 Olds w/ 330.
Now have oil leak at front of oil pan.

As part of the replacement procedure - Would the shop have needed to do anyting with the oil pan on the Timing Chain install?

I guess I am asking if I need to go back to them to fix because of their mistake or do i need to pay them to replace the oil pan gasket?

As always - Many Thanks.

I'm not sure about Olds engines, but they're probably similar to Chevys.

Yes. The timing cover fits inside the front of the oil pan and if the seal where the two meet isn't reestablished correctly it will leak.
