Well I have a non posi stock rear end in my 83 monte carlo.Thers been a lot done to my engine but I'm thinking about putting in a torque convertor&some gears,I don't plan on putting in a posi rear end anytime soon so is it pointless to change them?Let me know thanx

If you have someone who can set them up for cheep, go ahead with the gears. If you have to pay retail for the install, might want to wait or you will be paying twice, once you get a posi.

You said you were buying a converter, buy the posi instead, with the free gears it will make more of a difference than the converter. What good does more converter do you if all you are doing is smoking one tire harder :rolleyes: .
