Hi Metalman 21,
Wrays makes a very nice shrinking disc. I made them that way for several years before he started. I got the idea for a flat disc from him in the first place, and decided to make it with a 90 degree flange instead of the hemmed edge he suggested.
After I did all of the destructive testing, and made sure they worked better than the original, started producing them, and sold over 200 of them, he started making the same disc for sale. Now three different guys are making them like that including Wray. Wray is not a pirate but the other two guys are. He came up with the flat surface shrinking disc concept. I recommend him to people in one of my videos and on various forums, and albums.
Since then, I stopped making the flat disc. I make a low crowned disc which is superior in that it can do things the flat disc cannot. It will shrink truly flat surfaces, shallow valley/reverses, as well as low and high crowned panels.
I have put in more time than anyone else developing new uses for the shrinking disc and sharing my ideas with others. Teaching people how to use them, and how to make them for free. I won't post my web site, but I'm sure you can find it. I have several albums on various uses of the shrinking disc for dent repair and custom metal shaping.
And to respond more fully to your claim... my disc comes with an instructional video and still sells for less than anyone elses including shipping. Maybe now you see why I contradicted you.
John
