G-day all.
My buddy Dave is having problems with his 87 cougar. She's a 5.0 car 4 spd auto., and we can't get her to stay running. She will only run for a minute and
then shuts down. We checked the fuel relay, and all the ignition goodies,(pugs, wires, cap, rotor) replaced the coil and the module in the distributer,
we even bypassed the fuel shutoff switch in the trunk. She has a new map
sensor and a new idle air controll motor, and still she don't wanna run!
I think it could possibly be the fuel pump but I don't really know. We aren't
ford boys, so we need all the help we can get, cause fords are so cheap we
can't justify buying our beloved chevs anymore!
