I have a CAM program on my computer and have thought about tinkering with designing something like this, though only a one or two cylinder. I'm still having a heck of a time just figuring out how to use the program.
Thanks for the link Blazin!!!! Thats is absolutely amazing to me . That guy must be a genius. I cant imagine what it would take to build an engine like that from scratch. But after looking at his shop photos I get a good idea of where to start.
Omg.. that's amazing. This guy just talks through it as if it's nothing. I laughed at the casual nature of when he was talking about wanting to get the right mandrel bends for the header pipes but wasn't quite working out and just decides to build a minature pipe bender himself.
I used to work with an OLD school machineist who made little baby one cylinder motors in a small garage. He would use things like rebar for the valves and iron window weights from old sash windows to make piston rings.
I believe that the viper V10 was made by this guy http://www.conleyprecision.com the V10 molds and parts were taken out by a fire ( never heard this one before) check out this sight, an we think we are craftsman for building the stuff we build, we are not even on the page as these very talented builders. They do what is known as scratch building, killer projects
