i think maybe i should sell all my tools.
i pulled the moulding of my camaros windshield and replaced every clip. (part of it flew off on the freeway the other day) instead of giving year one 100 for 1/3 i got all of it at a wrecker for 10-great. i put the moulding back on and it's all done but i notice it's over this plastic piece at the base of the glass rather than under it. i use my tool that worked so good removing two sets of moulding and remove the one side piece and as i pull up, the windshield cracks.

Ouch, that had to hurt. Back to the bone yard for a windsheild! Get it from the same car you got the molding <img src="graemlins/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="[mwink]" />

Don't feel to bad, I've done it too. Was using the tried and true method of guitar string to get out a rear window and as I move around I get to the last 18" and snag a chip that I couldn't see and I pull a little harder thinking the beading was just hard and dry in that spot and that window just got 1 nearly straight crack all the way up. D'OH! I've since learned to treat glass a bit more gentle while I'm working on or around it.

In the wrecking yard or junk cars, spray around the windshield with wd-40 or deisel to soften the seal, give it a few minutes, it'll cut easier.
