Can anyone tell me what size speakers fit a 86 trans am. I know there are speakers in the front dash but what are the size of the speakers right behind the driver and passenger seats?

Not sure... I myself am gunna put 6X9s in when I get around to that part of the car...

Your dash has 4"x6" (oval) speakers.

Your doors have 6 1/2" (round) speakers.

Rear seat side panels have 6"x9" (oval) speakers.


Crutchfield has a VERY nice tool on their website to find out exactly what speakers your car has in it. From their homepage, up at the top in the blue toolbar, there is a button that reads "What Fits My Car?" Click it and enter your info.....
