I need to reset my speedo. How do i pick the right color speedo gear,without knowing the # of transmission drive gear teeth. I have a 28 in. tire, 700r4 w/ 3.73 in an 87 Monte SS & factory speedo. The speedo seems way off at least 45mph. thanks ...........billy

Here's a couple places to start.
If you are gonna pull the speedo cable off the tranny and pull the bullet out after draining the fluid or park on a hill to get the fluid away from the bullet. You can use a flashlight to look in the hole and see what color the drive gear is. It will have a little fluid left on it but if u look at these site u will get an idea what the colors are.Bob :welcome:
