Spray In Bedliner

The do it yourself kits suck.Look really horrible too.Try finding a "Rhino" place theirs look nice, and can get sprayed up to 1/4 inch thick. Steve

Linex is another franchise spray in company. In our area, an S-10 short bed would run around $400. If you go up over the top add about another $70. Rhino is comparable cost. I think Linex looks new a lot longer with medium abuse, but for real heavy use and abuse, I probably go with Rhino.

no do-it-yourself kits DONT suck, why? how do i know? cause i sprayed one, and its quick covering tar like stuff and dries overnight and very tough, and at a fraction of price thay gonna charge u at rhino or whatever, all u need is big gun like 2.0 or maybe more and set to go.

I agree with mitmaks I have a do it yourself kit in my ranger and it looks realy good.Its not linex or rhino but for the price its hard to beat.Take your time do it right and the results might suprise you.

Check with www.bedliners.com for there nearest installer to you. These people have a superior product and a network of dealer/installers to back them up. Their "superliner" is top of the line.

Mitmaks and Oldred what brands did you use, I thought about doing yourself kit haven't talked to anyone who tried one,thanks

ive tried "valspar" company's stuff, theyre offering pretty much most of paint, and theyre with "house of color" guys, so if u have them in ur area go check em out, then theres KC auto body supply but i didnt use much of their stuff..

SEM tintable urethane. Mine came from EASTWOOD 139.95 It is 2 part mix system that shoots on with an undercoating gun.You can tint this stuff to match your paint.

My brother used Herculiner in his truck, both in the bed, and the floor of the cab. He rolled his on with a roller though. It looks good and is tough, but it can be messy.

try schultz undercoating(it sets up hard & looks & feels like bed liner products. It took 3 qts for two coats($60) plus the cost of the gun - around $30.....all from NAPA. I also painted my engine compartment in my RR with it. I then put low luster blk over it.

I just did my S-10 with Duplicolor Bed Coating Material. I got it at WalMart for $35 a gallon. I used a $15 syphon feed blow gun and it turned out beautifully. It is a really good hard material and it lays down nice. I did thin it a bit to about 4 to 1 with H.E.T. so it would lay down a little bit wetter for a smoother finish.

Make sure you scuff the bed before doing this. I worked mine over top to bottom with some 80 grit and a disk sander. If you skip this huge pain in the *** step, it will not last long.

Good to hear the do-it-yourself liners work well, but I don't have a compressor or a spray gun. Does anybody have any other suggestions for a roll on bed liner. Thanks

Have not tried it but EASTWOOD has a roll-on liner kit.It is an epoxy based system called GATOR GUARD II it can be rolled or brushed on and is very economical at $39.99.

I have a Line -X in my 01 F350 This stuff is great ! I am restoring a 65 Nova and it will get the Line-X treatment totaly underneath and inside the trunk and all floorpans .I am sold on this product . In my opinion it looks much nicer than Rhino I have heard and seen nightmares about the do it yourself stuff. They just dont look professional. The only drawback to Line-X is that it is pricey, but as my Pappy always said "It only cost10% more to go first class" and "You get what you pay for"

I think that the brush-on type would come up short in the looks department but a good spray-on kit when done right will look good.It is like a good paint job, you have to do it right.We have all seen botched paint too but that dont make us all take our cars to the pros.Just take your time and pay attention to detail just like you would with paint.
