The parts you need are available new at your local Ford dealers parts counter. They shouldn't cost more than $10-15 I would guess.
That box was used in 60-65 Falcons/Comets, 65-73 Mustangs, The Maverick/Comet series in the 70s, and others.
Steering boxes should be adjusted only when disconnected from the pitman arm or drag link. It is best to check the box out inside if you think there may a wear problem. Clean it out with your favorite solvent, check the rolling block tooth wear and wear on the pitman arm. Check for evidence of leaks at the seal around the pitman arm and steering shaft and replace as neccesary.
If all is well, follow the simple adjustment in the Ford repair manual and reassemble with quality steering box lubricant.
The biggest KILLER of steering boxes is lack of lubrication and/or improper adjustment procedures. Adjustment is NEVER CORRECT if the steering linkage is connected while adjusting.
