I got a 52 Ford pick-up with a Toyota power steering box. I'm looking for a tilt steering column with NO shifter, key, or gear indicator. Got a floor shifter, key on the dash. I'd rather use one from a donor, than spend big money at Flaming or Ididit.

As one of the Moderators here.........let me be the first to WELCOME you to this board :welcome:

I had a 48 F1 years ago and I used a 66 or 67 GTO tilt column.

No shifter
No key
No indicator

It was small and looked like it belonged there.
It had canceling turn signal switch and took a GM steering wheel adapter kit from Grant....I wanted to use a Grant (after market) wheel.

Most all GM vehicles went to the key in the column in 1969......except trucks and vans.

I couldn't find a '66-'67 GTO steering column, the best I could get was a '74 Firebird tilt column with keyswitch (with keys) for $28. New problem...I have a '84 Toyota PS box with universal joint and the bottom half of a rag joint, the new column end is a 1" diam spline shaft. Is there any way to 'marry' these ends together? Does GM make a 1" inner diam rag joint? The idea of grinding or welding doesn't appeal to me.
