I have a Chevelle SS clone. It has been changed to a floor shift. Short of finding a column for a car with a floor shift is there a sleeve that I can buy to convert the column so it dose not have that shift on the column?

You can probably buy the sleeve from a wrecking yard, from a floor shift column. They would probably make you buy the whole column. By the time you took both apart and swapped the sleeve, it would be easier to change the whole column.

Get one with tilt, and make the swap worthwhile.

Just cut the knob off an fiberglass it.. 1/2 day job.

I bought a slick little item from juliano's. It is a steering column cover made of plastic. You cut off the shift mount knob area, slide this in place, paint to match. I don't know how to fiberglas, so this was an easy option. www.julianos.com
