I'm working on my interior in my '88 Mustang GT, and I have a couple of questions that I needed a little advice on. I'm replacing the dash because the old dash was cracked up.
1. I decided to pull the steering wheel out because I think that will make it much easier to get the dash back in place. I had no problem pulling the factory steering wheel off, but my question is since I had to use a puller to get the steering wheel off, how does it go back on? Also, the manual says you should'nt reuse the center bolt. Is that a must, can the bolt be reused. I was told by someone that the stock steering wheel could'nt be re-installed but I've never heard that before.

2. What's a good strong glue to use for cracked plastic interior pieces. I tried super glue, but it discolors the plastic, and I dont think gorilla holds that well. Any suggestions?

Let's put your question in Suspension, Brakes, Steering.

As far as the plastic goes, you need to look at the back of the plastic parts to find out what kind of plastic the parts are made from. A lot of parts have that stamped on the back. Most of the molded plastic parts are made from ABS. Check this thread on some ideas for gluing ABS: CLICK HERE
