had a th 350 rebuilt a few months back finally reinstalled it and it leaks out of the oil pump area. one of the bolts in the case is stripped. what would be the best way to fix this.

heli-coil. Of course, you'll have to remove the tranny to do it, which I'm sure you wanted to hear.

You could tap the hole to 3/8.
But that means pulling the transmission too.

yeah i would try a heli coil... the repair will be stronger than the factorys threads...

I just got to thinking, which hole was it that spripped? Some of those bolt holes may not have enough material to be heli-coiled. If that's the case I don't know what could be done to fix it, short of welding.
