ok after my 69 camaro came out of storage the detent cable was frozen solid?
its connected to a TH350 tranny.
removing the pan and cable I noticed the cable was not frozen but the mechanism the cable is hooked to is in the valve body.
So my question is can I free that up or do i need to remove the valve body and do a rebuild?

Drop the pan and have a look at the lever.
There is a small clip that can be removed. This will give you a better chance at freeing it up.
