I am having problems with oil blow by in my 350,that has approx. 30000 miles on it. It had sat for about 3 years. What can be done to loosen up the oil rings? Thanks Rich

There is some stuff out there called Sea Foam, You can get it at Advanced or Autozone I think, Might wanna give that a try. It supposed to work for stuck rings. Perry.

Doc here, :pimp:

Or you could pull the plugs and shoot a little ATF in there..rotate the engine (by hand) and repeat every day for a week or so..that might loosen them up without further wear.

Are you sure it's the rings? Could be dried and cracked Valve seals that are now dripping a little oil..you might want to check there..

BTW..when you re-fire it up don't be shocked ..It will smoke like crazy until the ATF burns off..

Remove plugs: add good old Marvel Mystery oil and let sit over night and then turn your motor slowly. Repeat a couple of times and give it a try. But I suspect dried out valve seals as Doc sez.
