Has any one ever used a A/C and heater unit from the rear of a suburban. There nice and small units, thinking I could use one in my 46 chevy truck. There a lot of space left on that side under the dash. Any ideas need to utilize dollars else where. Boneyard is full of them.

No reason that it cant be used.Flexible hoses can be attached to transfer the air over to the drivers side.
Charge amount would be close to what the difference is of a dual air verses a single air unit.If you use a condenser that is smaller than the suburban one then the charge amount will be reduced a little by that also.
