Hi. Having trouble with a TH 350 in a Olds 442. Over a period the trans had trouble starting in "Drive". Now it only runs in "Reverse". When I shift to "Drive", the engine stalls. I can restart the engine in "Park", but the engine still goes out, when I shift into "Reverse". I have never had this problem with a transmission before. Any ideas?
T-350 makes the engine stall in D not in R

Sorry, I got a word wrong. The engine only stops whwn I shift into " Drive " !!!
Are you sure it's not a TH350C with Lockup TC/TorqueConverter? 350C has an electrical connection on driver side.
If so, possibly a Bad TCC/TorqueConverterClutch.
If so, possibly a Bad TCC/TorqueConverterClutch.
