tall shifter (help)

does anyone know where I can get a "tall" over 23" shifter for a three speed or is this something that I will have to make? any help or suggestions will be more than greatly appreciated.
need that real hot rod look from the 50's or early 60's. thanks. :confused: <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

WHAT DIA. DOES YOUR ROD HAVE TO BE AND WHAT TPI ON EITHER END?
YOU CAN BUY POLISHED ROD LIKE DRILL ROD THATS VERY RIGID AND STRONG, THEN THREAD EACH END, ONE FOR THE SHIFT KNOB THE OTHER TO THREAD INTO THE SHIFTER LOOKS COOL ALSO
