My wagon weighed about 3800 lbs. Basically stock 396 with cast iron Q-jet manifold, Holley 650 spreadbore double pumper, Crane HT288 cam, Pro-Stock (brand) headers, GM rebuilt Vega converter, TH400 which I modified, Olds/Pont. HD carrier rear with 4.88 gears and square spider gears or a budget spool (also had a 6.14 for 1/8th mile - one had square spider gears the other had a budget spool - can't remember which was which), 9.00 x 29.5 x 15 Firestones screwed to 15 x 7 Chevy ralley wheels. Car ran 13 teens.
When I parked it to pay down the bills so I could go back to college and get my degree, I would occasionally race my tow vehicle. A 68 Suburban. I don't know how much it weighed, but I am guessing it fit your criteria. 73 454, off brand headers (even more so than the Pro-Stock brand on the wagon), HEI with a curve kit, o/w stock, stock TH400 converter, home made shift kit, factory 3.73 posi, some radials (can't remember the size) on Dan Gurney Victory Mags. Moby (she was white) ran low 15's driven to and from the track.
