Decided to go with weld on TCI Mustang II IFS (coil/Shock sys) and rear 4-link suspension for my 1952 Chevy pickup. Trying to decide on stock spindles or 2" drop spindles, but not sure how low the truck stance will be. Been told the 2" drop spindles along with Mustang II crossmember (another 2" drop) will put the truck's front bumper about 4 - 5 inches from ground level. Does this sound right??? Don't want to ride that low....

Trying to get the stance at about what is was with the orginal dropped straight axle that was in the truck before I took it off the frame which was at about 8 - 10 inches.

I've got an RCMotorSports MII clip in my Maverick that is height-adjustable. With stock spindles and the suspension adjusted up as high as possible, the ride height is barely acceptable. If I had the dropped spindles, it wouldn't even be drivable! You could get the 2" drops and see. If it's too low, you could prolly trade out those spindles for stock at no loss to you other than time and shipping...

Have you welded in the suspension yet? If not, you can set the ride height any way you want it utilizing the spindles you already have. I can walk you through the set-up process to set your ride height if you like.

The dropped spindles on that application will sit 4-5 inches lower than stock. Well, at least AFTER the springs break in. It sounds like the stock spindles will work best for you.

Thanks all......have not welded in the crossmember.....just ordered the TCI crossmember and IFS with 2" drop spindles after discussing again with TCI techs....but if there is a way to adjust the height certainly would be interested in getting info on that.
