I had to put a new torque converter in because of the new cam. Got i all back together with the new torque converter and i only had first and second gear. I do no have a kick down cable because the transmission will not seal unless the cable seals with an o ring on the bottom side of the tube, but i took the oil and pan off and adjusted it from the inside so that is was all the pulled out and kept it there and got it down and drove it again and now i only have first gear. Any suggestions on things to check?

not connecting the kick down cable is fine and will not prevent it from shifting up, half the time i never run a kickdown cable on th350 trannies


have the modulator valve connected to intake vacuum source right?

if not then it will not leave 1st gear

Thanks for being my only reply but the problem was the valve body gasket. I peeled it back and did not know that would ruin it, but it did and its fix, but thanks...!
