Ok I asked before about what the yellow primer was..I saw on some rod show on TV the other night a yellow body filler. What is it? IS it a different formula compared to bondo. Anyone used it? Any brand recommendation?

Evercoat makes a lightweight filler , it's called Rage Gold. The number is 112. It is very light weight, flows really well and is a breeze to sand.

And it is fairly expensive compared to the alternatives. I don't care for it very much. It seems that, no matter how I mixed it, it kicked too fast for me. I had to really hurry to get it all spread before it started to set. It does sand real nice, tho.

It does kick fast if mixed as directed. I have really cut down on the amount of activator I use. It allows me more work time, and I wait until the next day to sand it. I am never in that much of a hurry. I like the consistant quality of Evercoat products. Most times you get what you pay for. Body fillers and body prep is no place to cut corners to save a few pennies.

Nobody ever had problems (other than money) from buying the good stuff. I've found myself using metal-2-metal and all-metal for small projects a lot now. That stuff spreads like soft butter.
