This pops up on here from time to time. I am betting the box is full of a slimy, rusty mess. When we moved here, I found 8 houses for sale with basements. I could afford 3 of them. One I couldn't fit all of my stuff in and the other two were gone by the time I could financially buy. I was told that the soil here is such that the basements would crack and fill up with water. (I think this is wrong thinking, but that is another subject! It does require special building techniques which seem to have been lost here after WW II) The time capsule is located very close to a heavily trafficked street. If the seals haven't broken (or worse), I will be surprised. I would like to see it perfectly preserved, but I am not holding my breath.

I did a Google check on the stuff they used to preserve it. I think this car is going to be A-OK when it comes out of that hole.
