A lot of today's working on the front end of the car. What a mess fixing up the lousy shaped panels.

Out in the garage this morning trying to finish up tacking the panel in place.

Been trying to get my 69 Bonneville back together after being torn apart for the last 5 years,, finally got it painted and trying to remember how it goes back together,, getting old really sucks,, makes ya lazy,,,

I got a little more planishing and clean up of the welds done on my hood fill in.

What are you doing to the hood? Are we talking repairing dents or are you filling holes or something?

I took out hinge to make it one piece.
This is nothing yet, the 2 sides gotta get extended and the front nose piece needs to be made yet.

And of course before photoshop you had to do something like what I have done for years, simply cut up photos and draw on them.

I guess that would be Photochop.

Actually, i do the same thing with the Paint program. It will come in handy later when I chop the top.

I've decided to go with my first instincts.
I don't want to kick myself later.

So my car will look like a poor man's Willys wanna be.

Took out all the vent box and other stuff from under dash to see if I can squeeze in a GEN IV Vintage Air unit and still be able to get at the wiper motor for service.

I ran my steering shaft right thru my nice motor mount eliminating 2 u-joints and shaft support bearings as well.

I had mounted the steering rack straight up and down (newb mistake) and had no choice but to run the shaft where it is now.

It sure hurt to start cutting the thing up. ain:

By the way, I am freeing up SO MUCH space around my garage and shed. HOLY CRAP I could dance in there now with these parts finally on the car. :thumbup:

Today went to get rear end at speed shop & they still can't find the correct rotors for the disc brakes. They ordered another set but it will be mid week before we know if they fit. The rear is all together except for the brakes, BUMMER! :drunk: So when I got back home, seems like I struggled with everything I tried. I can't believe I spent the whole day and didn't get any more done than I did!

Don't let stuff like that get to you.
Getting frustrated slows you down and causes mistakes.

Move on to another part of the project and before you know it your parts will be in, you'll set them down somewhere as you continue on the other part of the project and a few weeks later you won't be able to find the parts.

Its all good no matter what you're working on.
