How much wobble and wear is acceptable for the throttle shafts on a quadrajet before one considers having it drilled and bushings pressed in. or discarding it as worn out? Are their different allowable tolerances on the primary vs the secondary?
The primaries are more critical, as that will affect the idle quality. If the slack is making it impossible to accuratly set the idle mixture screws, it is time to either ditch the carb or get it repaired.
