my gmc pu tilt steering is coming apart . I would apprciate info on tear down & putting back together. 90GMC K1500 PU.

its fun

you can do a google and find out

but it requires alot of tearing down

you have to remove the upper housing where the key lock sits in and then you have to pull both of the tilting pins thay are fun to pull out, are threaded so you have to find something to thread into them and pry them out i use a screw and a flat bar to pry the PITA things out

then you can finally get to the screws that came lose for the tilt

lock thread paste them real good or youll have to do it again soon

its a job, it will take around 2-3 hours

maybe more if bad stuff happens
